Zest Artist Jenny McCracken delivered a powerful call to action at the Benalla Wall To Wall Festival with her street art mural “Beneficiaries of the Palm Oil Estates”.

As a feature artist for this years festival, Jenny wanted to demonstrate the power that art has to communicate a message and invoke an emotional reaction in the audience that encourages them to make a change in their daily lives.

For this mural she chose a topic that she is personally passionate about; the plight of the Orangutan community due to habitat destruction by corporations using palm oil.

I wanted to create an image that inspires us all to help stop this process of destruction before we lose these majestic cousins of ours” explains Jenny “Many people aren’t aware of what is happening or want to help but don’t know how.”

We captured some pretty great time-lapse footage of Jenny creating this fabulous mural. Take 2 minutes to watch it unfold.
