Fine art was the order of the day at the 23rd World Congress on  Intelligent Transport Systems with the unveiling of Urban landscape: Clem7.

The piece, acrylic paint on aluminum substrate, was painted by Zest’s internationally awarded Artist Jenny McCracken. The artwork, commissioned by Logix Engineering, was completed on site to attract return visitors to the company’s exhibition stand throughout the four day conference.

Painting of a bridge with streetart

‘Clem7’ was inspired by Australian realist painter Jeffrey Smart and incorporated Logix’ raw materials and engineering skills. The artwork depicts a well known rail bridge in inner city Brisbane which is heavily graffitied. The animals depicted in the foreground are Italian greyhounds, much loved pets of the client.

Measuring 3 metres by 1.6 metres, the masterpiece was auctioned for charity at the world congress awards night and raised $10,000 for a Topu Honis Shelter Homes in Oecussi Timor Leste. ‘Clem7’ now hangs in a private residence in Brisbane, Australia.

Limited edition prints are now being sold to support the charity.
