CGU Partner Events
For the last 10 years Zest has been engaged by award winning Australian financial services icon CGU Insurance, of the IAG Group to negotiate and leverage their sponsorship of the Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA) Conference through the Emerging Leader Awards, gala dinners and exhibitions. Zest effectively acts an outsource Manager to CGU liaising with senior management and staff around the country. Each year the conference moves to a new location, e.g. Melbourne, Gold Coast, Darwin and Adelaide. Zest provides continuity and develops new entertainment programs to engage CGU’s valued partners from around the country.
Voyages Camel Cup and Car Rally
The Lost Cameleer Car Rally was produced for Voyages Hotels & Resort, it ran from Alice Springs to Uluru and is a great example of our flexibility and ability to do something a little different. It was designed by Zest to be a mini ‘Amazing Race’ for 20 participants (media and corporate clients) travelling 500 km’s over three days. Zest researched (in a four wheel drive) the rally course, involved local tourism businesses and organised events at each of Voyages Hotels & Resorts along the rally route. Participants competed for points by unravelling clues, participating in challenges such as whip cracking, sand drawing, ochre painting and the unforgettable ‘Coo-ee Call’ at Standley Chasm. The event concluded on discovery of the The Lost Cameleer at The Lost Camel Hotel at Uluru. Not your average event by any means, a great team building event and way to showcase Central Australia.
Zest worked with Great Southern Press to create the Trenchless Australasia a 3 day conference & exhibition for interstate and international delegates at the Waterview Convention Centre in Homebush, Sydney . The event included an exhibition (70 exhibitors), golf day, harbour cruise, gala dinner & awards, and live demonstrations of heavy equipment. Effectively Trenchless outsourced the project to Zest, but some clever thinking allowed Zest to make use of the client’s staff to mitigate costs, transfer skills back to the client and develop the capability for continuity of these types of projects into the future.
ICT Outlook Conference
National ICT Australia (NICTA), the CSIRO and the Department of Defence contracted Zest to design the ICT Outlook Conference to enhance sharing of technology, innovation and ideas to 200 delegates at the MCG in Melbourne. With three masters, this was clearly an exercise in managed collaboration in itself. Zest worked with managers from each organisation to develop the program which included a keynote address by Dr John Hewson, a series of plenary sessions and panel sessions, a technology exhibition, displays, marketing materials. In addition to managing the logistics of the conference, Zest’s responsibilities also included developing the brand and creating and managing the website.
