This year has been a huge one for Zest Artist Jenny McCracken.  Jenny is two-time Champion of Chalk Urban Art Festival and the current title holder of Australia’s Champion Artist.  2012 saw Jenny add another win to her collection, a gold medal at the 40th anniversary of the world’s oldest street painting festival – Incontro Nazionale dei Madonnari – at Grazie di Curtatone in Lombardy, Italy.

Jenny won her division in front of approx 200,000 people and is Australia’s first Madonnara.  Founder and Festival Director of Chalk Urban Art Festival Andi Mether and a documentary team accompanied Jenny on her journey.  The documentary will be released in 2013.  Following on from the Festival Jenny made her way to Geldern Street Painting Festival to be guest artist, and then it was on to Lelystad in The Netherlands.  In both countries she worked with Germany’s Roland Josuttis an old friend with whom she won her first street painting prize at Geldern in 1992.

As a result of her gold medal win in Italy Jenny was invited to represent Australia and be one of 13 artists to work with Master Artist Kurt Wenner at Sarasota Chalk Festival, an honour many would vie for.  Jenny was one of three artists selected by Kurt to complete the artwork when he left the site.   She then went on to produce her own 3D work at the event.

Jenny McCracken is now back in Australia and available to produce 3D chalk art, run workshops, produce murals and conference art activities for your next event!  Contact us for more information.
